**please note this event has been cancelled**

An awareness seminar on Thursday, 16th May 2019

We are excited to announce that we are co-organising a workshop with NAFEMS – the International Association for the Engineering Modelling, Analysis and Simulation Community – on ‘Simulation in Practice: Adaptive Use of Simulation for Healthcare’ which will take place the day before the Insigneo Showcase (Thursday 16 May 2019) at Inox Dine.

Why attend?

  • To understand Simulation and how it can be used within Healthcare
  • To explore why Simulation is used and what the benefits are to the industry
  • Share feedback and consider alternative ways to use Simulation
  • Simulation is used to support surgeons, dentists and the design of medical devices but there has recently been a significant increase of the use of simulation within Allied health professions (AHP).

Engineering simulation is an innovative tool that can have a dramatic impact on the design, development and evaluation of medical devices with the technology enabling companies to dramatically improve time-to-mark, as well as reducing costs during the approval process. With innovation and quality being of paramount importance, FEA and CFD are being utilised increasingly to improve the design process of new and redesigned medical components.

During the seminar NAFEMS, the international association for the engineering analysis community, explores the current uses of engineering simulation for the design of medical devices, exploring current applications and challenges.

Ensure you and your company has the best perspective on the future of engineering simulation for medical devices and the knowledge to maximize its potential by joining NAFEMS and the engineering analysis community in Sheffield on Thursday, 16th May.

Insigneo members and associate members can register for this workshop free of charge by emailing jo.davenport@nafems.org.
