6th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering
Monday, 10 June - Wednesday, 12 June
We are organizing a mini-symposium on cerebral aneurysms as part of the 6th International Conference on Computational and Mathematical Biomedical Engineering (CMBE19) which will be held 10-12 June 2019 at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan (http://www.compbiomed.net/2019).
The purpose of this mini-symposium is to bring together cerebral aneurysm researchers with expertise in clinical management of aneurysms, neurosurgery, vascular biology, computational modeling, vascular imaging, and biomechanics, focusing on the interaction between the flow and biomechanical environment of intracranial aneurysms and structural, mechanical and biological characteristics of aneurysm walls. The goal is to provide a picture of the current knowledge in this field, describe current research efforts, and in particular discuss the role of different factors and processes in the progressive weakening or effective remodeling of the wall.
The call for abstracts is already open. Details on the CMBE Series, templates and instructions for abstract submission can be found on-line at: http://www.compbiomed.net/2019/abstract-submission-(general).htm.
Our mini-symposium is MS15: Identifying and understanding cerebral aneurysms risk factors and their interactions (J. R. Cebral, S. Hirsch, A. M. Robertson and and P. Watton).
