In silico augmented clinical trials in STriTuVaD: interview with Dr M.A. Juárez

Insigneo member, Dr Miguel Juárez , a lecturer at the University of Sheffield’s School of Mathematics and Statistics, has recently been interviewed about innovative mathematical approaches in in silico medicine applications and his role in the STriTuVaD (In Silico Trial for Tuberculosis Vaccine) project. Dr Juárez and researchers in the Department of Computer Science are part of an international consortium coordinating the research.

The Horizon 2020 EU-funded STriTuVaD project is focused on developing computational modelling techniques to provide in silico augmented clinical trials for Tuberculosis (TB) vaccination development.

Dr Juárez is in charge of the statistical content of the project, and his main task is to devise mathematical models and methods that acknowledge and quantify these variabilities.
