Happy Birthday to our strategic partner, the National Institute for Health Research’s Devices for Dignity MedTech and in vitro diagnostic Co-operative which turned ten on 6 July 2018, just a day after the 70th anniversary of the NHS.
Congratulations on 10 years of developing new medical devices, healthcare technologies and technology-dependent interventions, including the revolutionary Head Up collar.
The Head Up collar is one of many great examples of Devices for Dignity’s approach which focusses on developing technology solutions to meet clinical needs for chronic health conditions that are often overlooked, and that are typically associated with loss of dignity and independence, and poor patient outcomes. The collar is designed to ease pain and make everyday tasks such as eating and communicating much easier for people with motor neurone disease.
