On 15 September 2017 a meeting was hosted by Insigneo at the University of Sheffield to explore establishing a UK Chapter of the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) Institute.
A UK chapter of the VPH Institute will bring together researchers, industrial experts, clinicians, regulators and funders interested in the Virtual Physiological Human, in silico medicine, and related topics. This national forum will build upon the UK’s strong contribution to research in this area and seek to develop and communicate a vision for the future and address the gap between the advancement of the fundamental science supporting in silico technologies and translation into clinical practice.
Join our Community of Practice
A community of practice was established to consult with people based in the UK who are professionally involved with subject-specific modelling and related aspects.
If you would like to get involved you can request to join the Google Group named “UK Chapter of the VPH Institute”.
About the Virtual Physiological Human
The Virtual Physiological Human is a framework of methods and technologies that, once established, will make it possible to investigate the human body as a whole.
The VPH Institute is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that the Virtual Physiological Human is fully realised, universally adopted, and effectively used both in research and clinic.
